The Association for Thought and Literary Studies was founded to promote research in the fields of literature and thought, to support cultural production, and to provide a sustainable platform for academic collaboration. Through organizing scholarly events, developing research projects, and producing publications, the Association aims to enhance the quality and visibility of literary and cultural studies at both national and international levels.
Our activities include symposia, panels, conferences, workshops, and seminars, as well as the preparation of books, journals, newsletters, and digital publications. One of our priorities is to develop scholarships, awards, and support programs for young researchers, students, and writers, thereby encouraging high-quality intellectual and literary production.
Beyond being a civil society organization, the Association serves as a platform for scholarly cooperation and intellectual exchange. By developing joint projects with universities, research centers, and cultural institutions in Turkey and abroad, we contribute to strengthening the connections between Turkish literary studies and the international academic community.
Since its establishment, the Association has embraced the mission of serving not only its members but also the wider scholarly community, making literary studies more visible in the public sphere. Among our publishing activities, Nesir: Journal of Literary Studies occupies a central place. Through this peer-reviewed journal, we seek to provide an internationally respected forum for original research in literary studies.
The Association for Thought and Literary Studies regards literature as an inseparable part of intellectual and social life. With this vision, we strive to foster intercultural dialogue, support the next generation of scholars, and preserve literature as a living component of humanity's shared cultural heritage.
